About the School

St. Anthony’s Secondary School is a co-educational independent Roman Catholic school located in Mbagala- Sabasaba along the Kilwa Road in Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaam. The school is situated on attractively landscaped by tall trees approximately 15 kilometers from Dar es Salaam city centre. St. Anthony’s Secondary School is full registered under the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Tanzania.

The school offers secondary education for both O’ level (Form I to form IV) and A’ level (Form V to Form VI).  The school has  “ the state of art” facilities necessary to enhance learning environment for student at all levels: The school has highly qualified, experienced and competent teaching staff; conducive learning and teaching environment; well equipped library; science and computer laboratories; play grounds  and hostel for girls. Currently the school has a total number of about 1600 students, 76 teachers and 32 non–teaching staff

Our history

The school was founded by the late Rev. Fr. Fidelis Versari in 1980s.  The school started as a Centre for Adult Education with a dozen of private students who were mainly choir members from St. Anthony of Padua Parish-Mbagala (That was some time back in 1984).

Ownership and Management
The Catholic Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam is the legal owner of the school. The school is managed and administered by the Institute of the Brothers of Christian Instruction (Catholic Religious Order).
